The Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) Exam is geared to nurse leaders who are currently engaged in executive nursing practice. This exam focuses on the synthesis of experience and knowledge gained by the candidate throughout his/her career. The CENP Exam focuses on proficiencies in practice that include business skills, communication and relationship building, leadership, professionalism and knowledge of the health care environment.

CNML
The Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML) Exam — offered in partnership with the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) — is designed exclusively for nurse leaders in the nurse manager role. This exam focuses on the clinical and administrative expertise of nurse managers who have accountability for patient care units. The CNML Exam is directed at testing the Nurse Manager’s understanding of the management of finances, human resources, staffing, performance improvement, technology, and strategic planning. The candidate for the CNML credential should possess a strong clinical and leadership background and be able to address challenges in the work place through skilled communication, mentoring, advocacy, and critical thinking.
