AONE announces 2009 leadership awards

Welcome
The AONE Institute for Nursing Leadership Research and Education is the philanthropic arm of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and a 501(c)(3) unit of the Health Research and Educational Trust. Founded in 1999, the AONE Institute’s mission is to shape the future of patient care delivery through the development of evidence-based nursing leadership. The AONE Institute is committed to advancing nurse executive practice through research seed grants for projects related to nursing administration practice, educational awards to advance scholarship in formal education, and leadership awards to recognize innovative and effective achievements toward improving health care delivery.

Strategic Priorities of the Institute

Institute-Funded Research
The AONE Institute is the national leader in supporting health services research for nurse leaders

Institute Long-Term Sustainability
The AONE Institute is self-sustaining in its research efforts through donations and partnerships that ensure its vision and mission

Institute Research Partnerships
The AONE Institute partners with researchers and assists in the development and design of research initiatives

Institute Education and Special Projects
The AONE Institute provides operational and/or monetary support to nursing leadership education programs and projects that support the AONE strategic plan

Development and Funding
The Institute continues to expand its fundraising program, which supports awards, scholarships and research seed grants. The Institute sponsors a silent auction at the AONE Annual Meetings, raising much-needed funds for Institute activities. As the Institute’s activities increase, member support and the support of the business community is more important than ever. We encourage you to support the Institute with a tax-deductible donation. Every gift counts!

AONE's mission is "to represent nurse leaders who improve healthcare" and its vision is "shaping the future of healthcare through innovative nursing leadership."

The AONE Institute for Nursing Leadership Research and Education, a 501(c)(3) unit of the Health Research and Educational Trust, was launched in 1999 and was designed to support research and special projects that further AONE's mission and vision in the areas of nursing leadership, patient care excellence and health care policy. The Institute works to promote patient care excellence through recognition of leadership, community health improvement, and health policy achievements by providing funding for research and special projects that promote nursing leadership in health care delivery. Contributions made to the Institute are tax deductible - and more importantly, they are an investment in nursing's future.

There are several excellent opportunities for corporate sponsorship of the Institute: events at the AONE annual meeting, participation in our upcoming capital campaign, funding research projects, general donations, and so much more!

Recognition by colleagues whom you hold in such high esteem is such a validation of what counts, what matters, and why I and we work so hard! It is at once humbling, inspirational and motivational! I have marshaled more energy than I thought I had and have recommitted to pursuing my passions for patients, families, and professional practice with renewed gusto.
