AONE launches Transforming Care at the Bedside (TCAB) dissemination initiative
The American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) has announced the next phase of its dissemination of the Transforming Care at the Bedside (TCAB) initiative, a program to share a set of practical, easy-to-use tools that will help hospitals improve the quality and safety of patient care on medical and surgical units. AONE is adopting TCAB as part of its long-term goals to design patient care delivery models of the future and transform the culture of how nurses care for patients.  AONE has developed a comprehensive set of options for members to participate in this new initiative, ranging from face-to-face meetings, conference calls and all-virtual participation. This newly launched AONE TCAB program is based on the original collaboration between the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), as well as the current dissemination project being completed by 67 hospitals as part of a $1.5 million grant to AONE from RWJF.
