CENP Essentials Review Course


The CENP Essentials Review Course assists participants in preparing for the CENP exam through a review of the AONE Nurse Executive Competencies ™ and practical application of the competencies.

The competencies include: Communication and Relationship Building, Knowledge of the Health Care Environment, Leadership, Professionalism and Business Skills.

Through small group work you will discuss with your peers high order thinking as they relate to your professional practice.  This is intended to be an opportunity to integrate concepts with experience, honing your critical thinking abilities in preparation for the exam.

Continuing Education Contact Hours

This workshop is approved for 7.0 continuing nursing education contact hours. The American Organization of Nurse Executives is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. AONE is authorized to award 7.0 hours of pre-approved ACHE Qualified Education credit (non-ACHE) for this program toward advancement, or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives. AONE is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 15740.


The American Hospital Association (AHA) has a corporate rate at the Hotel Allegro. This hotel is two blocks from the AHA offices where the program will be held. A special link to check rates and availably will be provided in your confirmation email.

AONE cannot be held liable for non-refundable airline tickets or hotel room deposits. AONE suggests that you do not purchase restricted or nonrefundable tickets for travel to the annual meeting. AONE assumes no liability for penalties or fare increases should the annual meeting sell out or in the unlikely event that changes to the annual meeting dates and/or location become necessary. Hotel reservations, cancelations and charges are the attendee’s responsibility.

A refund minus 20% will be granted to written requests received 14 days or more prior to the start date of the program. Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to Shanna Sweeney We will not be able to grant refunds after this date. Registrants unable to attend may send an alternate. If the alternate is not a member of AONE and original registrant is a member, the nonmember differential must be paid.
