Certificate Program in Health Care Finance for Nurse Executives

Description

In today's evolving health care environment, when hospitals are struggling to maintain their margins in the face of rising costs, decreased payment and increased expectations for quality care outcomes, every health care clinical leader has increased accountability for bottom line results. To equip nurse executives for these challenges, AONE, in partnership with the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) offers a Certificate in Health Care Finance for Nurse Executives.

AONE and HFMA faculty provide an overview of executive level health care finance through lectures, small group discussions, case studies, as well as the pre readings and webinar. The program provides Senior Nurse Executives with the concepts, tools and techniques to understand how the integration of clinical, operational and financial data impacts day-to-day operations and bottom line.

The Certificate in Health Care Finance is awarded upon the completion of:
• A two-day Executive Level Skills in Health Care Finance course
• Preparatory reading
• Pre- and post-assessment (scores do not influence achievement of the certificate)

Continuing Education Contact Hours

The certificate program is approved for 16 continuing nursing education contact hours. The American Organization of Nurse Executives is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

AONE is authorized to award 16 hours of pre-approved ACHE Qualified Education credit (non-ACHE) for this program toward advancement, or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Accreditation Statement

Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Educational Foundation is registered with the National Association of the State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing education on the National Registry of the CPE sponsors. ate boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual course for CPE credit.

AONE is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 15740.

Travel

AONE has reserved a nightly rate of $179 plus tax at the Wyndham Philadelphia. A special link to reserve the discounted rate will be provided in your confirmation email. The discounted rate is available until September 2, 2018, or until rooms have sold out. Please make sure to book early.

AONE cannot be held liable for non-refundable airline tickets or hotel room deposits. AONE suggests that you do not purchase restricted or nonrefundable tickets for travel to the annual meeting. Cancellation

A refund minus 20% will be granted to written requests received 14 days or more prior to the start date of the program. Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to Kelsey Irish at kirish@aha.org We will not be able to grant refunds after this date.

Registrants unable to attend may send an alternate. If the alternate is not a member of AONE and original registrant is a member, the nonmember differential must be paid.
