Dynamic Leadership in Shared Governance
Effective leaders use the structure of shared governance to build a culture of excellence, where nurses have accountability and responsibility for nursing care. This workshop brings together individuals and teams with leadership roles in shared governance-from the chair of a unit council to the CNO of the organization--to focus on developing leadership skills and behaviors specific to leading in a shared governance environment.
CENP Preparation Resources and CNML Preparation Resources
The Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) and the Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML) are premier credentials in nursing leadership. Tools and resources such as the candidate handbook, competencies assessment, readiness exams and review courses are available to help you on your certification journey. Care Innovation and Transformation (CIT)
The Care Innovation and Transformation initiative improves patient care, hospital performance, and employee satisfaction through the engagement of frontline staff, collaboration, innovation and leadership development. Care Innovation and Transformation participants meet face-to-face four times over a period of two years.

Emerging Nurse Leader Institute (ENLI)
The Emerging Nurse Leader Institute is designed for staff nurses, charge nurses and nurse coordinators who aspire to nurse leadership roles. ENLI is a three-day interactive program that combines lecture, discussion, experiential learning and self-assessment. Continuing education credit is available.
Nurse Manager Development
Essentials of a Nurse Manager Orientation (ENMO)
To meet the busy schedule of a nurse leader, Essentials of Nurse Manager Orientation (ENMO) is an online, comprehensive course for frontline managers, charge nurses, aspiring managers and leadership staff. ENMO was developed in partnership with the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) and is the first leadership course created specifically for nurse managers.
Nurse Manager Institute
Nurse Managers will benefit from this three day program designed to engage learners in activities and discussion to take leadership skills to the next level. NMI is a three-day interactive program that combines lecture, discussion, experiential learning and self-assessment. Continuing education credit is available.
AONE Nurse Manager Fellowship
The AONE Nurse Manager Fellowship is the first of its kind program to step up the level of existing education and development for nurse managers. The Fellowship is a year-long professional development program designed to provide an in-depth environment of learning. The fellowship incorporates the Nurse Manager Learning Domain Framework, developed by AONE.
Nurse Executive Development
Certificate in Healthcare Finance
AONE and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) are co-sponsors of this certificate program to give Senior Nurse Executives the advanced knowledge they need to actively participate in executive level finance decisions. From understanding revenue cycle operations, to building and monitoring budgets to forecasting to financial report to appreciating the world of the Chief Financial Officer, this workshop provides Senior Nurse Executives the concepts, tools and techniques to understand how the integration of clinical, operational and financial data impacts day-to-day operations and the bottom line.
The American Organization of Nurse Executives is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
