Each year, AONE presents several recognition awards which highlight AONE members and one state chapter who have demonstrated the "best of the best" in nursing leadership practice.
Please note: Nominations for AONE's 2013 awards are no longer being accepted. Award recipients will be notified by December 7, 2012, and will then be honored at the 2013 AONE Annual Meeting and Exposition, March 20-23 in Denver.
AONE offers four annual recognition awards:
AONE Mentor Award
Recognizes a nurse in executive practice who has been exemplary in supporting the professional development of his or her colleagues by serving as a mentor or advisor.
AONE Prism Diversity Award
Recognizes an individual's efforts to promote diversity within the nursing workforce and to enhance understanding of diversity issues through events or activities within a health care facility or within the community.
The 2013 Prism Award is sponsored by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
AONE Chapter Achievement Award
Recognizes an AONE Chapter that promotes nursing leadership and its influence in the areas of the advancement of nursing practice, patient safety and quality, recruitment and retention, or another priority initiative for that particular state/region, and can serve as a model for other states or regions with similar interests.
AONE Innovation in Technology Award
Honors an outstanding nurse leader who demonstrates innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship in the implementation and adoption of information or systems technology in their organization.
The 2013 AONE Innovation in Technology Award is sponsored by Cisco.
