International Membership
AONE is proud to participate in multiple international nursing programs each year. AONE regularly presents at the International Council of Nurses and leads member delegations through People to People and Academic Travel Abroad, Inc. In 2010, AONE staff and leadership visited India, Mozambique, Croatia, Ireland and others. Future trips include Vietnam, Cuba and return trips to Mozambique and Croatia.
Through our travels, we have learned nurse leaders face similar issues no matter what country they reside. Workforce, staff recognition, succession planning and leadership development are world-wide issues. The resources created by AONE, such as the Nurse Manager Framework and Nurse Executive Competencies are applicable to all nurse leaders.
AONE has approximately 100 international members from Canada to India, Australia to China and everywhere in between. Once you join AONE, you can connect with international members using the membership directory.
To join as an international member, review the membership category by country table below to see if your membership category is International High, International Middle or International Low. Then go to the join AONE page and select the corresponding membership category and complete the purchase online. All fees paid to AONE will be calculated and paid in United States currency.
AONE is also developing a special institute for international nurse leaders. Please contact Veronika Riley at vriley@aha.org for additional information.
