• Members urged to contact legislators on opioid treatment bill

    AONE members should contact their legislators to advocate support for the Addiction Treatment Access Improvement Act (H.R. 3692/S. 2317), which would permanently authorize advanced practice RNs, NPs, certified nurse-midwives, clinical nurse specialists and certified registered nurse anesthetists to prescribe medication-assisted treatment (specifically buprenorphine) to patients struggling with opioid use disorder.
