Being chief executive officer of AONE/sr. vice president nursing/chief nursing officer of the American Hospital Association (AHA) has been the most enjoyable and rewarding part of my career. For the past fifteen years, it has been my privilege to learn from and to represent you. Together, we have accomplished a great deal–shaping health care through innovative and expert nursing leadership.

The American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) announced today the recipients of its 2015 recognition awards, which highlight AONE members and a state chapter who demonstrated the "best of the best" in leadership practice, and whose work sets an example for every nurse leader. The recipients will be honored this week during the AONE’s Annual Meeting in Phoenix.
